Thank you anime fans in Orlando for making “Anime Nite @ The Geek Easy” a success! The past few months have been a blast and it looks like we’ve got a good thing going with making anime a reason to gather and have a party every month. For that, I am truly happy.
On this day in 1999, Sega Dreamcast was released in America. It’s still a fondly remembered videogame console by many gamers from that time. I wrote an article about it two years ago that I would like you all to check out since my views haven’t changed.
There are quite a bit of good games on Sega Dreamcast. What were your favorites?
As far as original Dreamcast games go, I’m am down with this gem:
“Feel pretty good. I’m not, uh, I’m not scared at all. I just feel kind of… feel kind of invincible.”
“Me, too. I got a very positive attitude about this.”
“Good, me too.”
“Yeah!”
Jack Burton is back and Enzian theater in Maitland is showing Big Trouble in Little China for FREE on their lawn for an outdoor movie night next week on Wednesday, September 14th! Details about the showing can be found here and the movie starts at 8:30PM.
The NFL pre-season is just about to end and there is a new Madden game out for football fans to enjoy. I actually got a copy of this sent to me and I hope I’ll be able to play it this week.
I’ll admit it right now, followers and fans of Kent Ward. The new My Little Pony cartoon has some seriously impressive production values. I saw it myself recently. I’ll even step forward and say that it’s a good, wholesome and perfectly acceptable show to watch…
You know, if you’re six years old and wear pink dresses to school.
It’s been about a good week and a half since the dust has settled on Anime Festival Orlando 12. The main event of the convention, Conquerors of Neo-Orlandia was a success! The live-action game itself was heavily played all weekend at the convention and our audience was really into the performances put on by our actors and actresses.
To those who saw Shawn and I at AFO for “It’s MANIME! The Manly Anime Panel!”, we give our thanks! We had a lot of fun times, a fitting tribute for manly anime pioneers, a fursuit invasion, headbutts, true man laws, a guide on how to date real men, and several series worth checking out!
Anime Festival Orlando 12 is this weekend and I bet you’re wondering what I’ve got planned and when. Well, we’re ready to blow this place SKY HIGH BABE!
That’s right! I come out swinging harder than ever and I got a line-up of events for you to check out! Make these events a priority for your convention going adventures cause it’s gonna be FIVE STAR! FIVE STAR! FIVE STAR! EVERYWHERE!
You don’t think I can deliver? Well, you’re already wrong.
Today is a sad day for all fans of anime from the eighties. Toyoo Ashida, who has worked as a director, character designer, and animator on many anime series and movies, has passed away this past Saturday at the age of 67.
He was most well-known for directing Fist of the North Star and the original Vampire Hunter D movie.
Today, Electronic Arts ships NCAA Football 12 for XBox 360 and Playstation 3. This marks the first time a videogame I worked on as a professional developer has been released.
Hey Orlandians, have you ever been to A Geek Easy? No? Are you familiar with A Comic Shop, voted as the #1 comic shop in Orlando as voted by the readers of Orlando Weekly every year? Well, A Comic Shop has a sweet hangout space and they are cool enough to let me and the superstars of Propeller Anime Club hold an anime night there every month!
